SMALL GROUPS AT LMC

At Littleover Methodist Church we are committed to the principle of small groups. To use William Beckham's illustration, Church is like a bird, having two wings. The coming together of the whole church for worship, witness, fellowship, teaching etc. is one wing. The other is the dividing up of the larger fellowship into small groups. Each wing must be as important as the other if the bird is to fly.

Below we list the details of the groups in the church which function primarily for the benefit of their members (as opposed to groups which meet for a particular ministry, such as prayer). You are welcome to join any of these, as appropriate, and a contact name and telephone is listed. Please feel free to ring if you want more information of any kind.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY Wednesdays, 9.45am during Term-time, in the Spencer Room.

An informal group which gathers for fellowship, worship, Bible study and teaching. Open to all ladies who are free to meet during the day.
Planned studies are led by invited speakers and are based on either a Bible character, a book from the Bible, or a theme. After feeding on the Word, we round off the morning with a cuppa!

WORSHIP BUILDERS Thursdays, 8.10pm in the church.

We invite ALL who are passionate about worship to come and join in what is still a music rehearsal.
Musicians arrive at 8pm and are ready to play with all music needed for the evening by 8.10pm.
This is not intended to be another praise and worship service but an open time of rehearsal in a spirit of worship.
So, whatever your gifting, if it can be used in worship, come along and practice using it, and help build our worship into the best it can be for God.
